Purpose:
Used in diagnosis and monitoring of medullary thyroid carcinoma.
High Levels:
Suggests medullary thyroid cancer or other neuroendocrine tumors.
Low Levels:
Normal or no evidence of disease.
Reference Range:
<10 pg/mL (females), <15 pg/mL (males)
